MY HOMEMADE BAHARAT/ ARABIC MIXED SPICES I

HOMEMADE BAHARAT/ ARABIC MIXED SPICES

Baharat is a Mixed spice used in arab country, Baharat simply means "spice" in Arabic. This blend is often used to season lamb but is an all-purpose flavour enhancer useful for fish, chicken, beef, tomato sauces and soups. It’s a great addition to lentil dishes, pilafs and can even perk up plain old meatloaf. We find it useful as a rub for virtually anything on the barbeque.

1/3 cup black pepper pwdr
1/3 cup curry pwdr
1/4 cup coriander pwdr
1/4 cup cinnamon pwdr
1/4 cup clove pwdr
1/3 cup cumin pwdr
1tbsp cardamom pwdr

1/2 cup paprika pwdr
I suggest adding a small amount of allspice and ginger.
